Shukuno is the family name of my Japanese grandmother and divides itself in two separate Kanji meanings 'to lodge someone' (Shuku) and 'a flower meadow' (No).

"In 2023 I graduated Law school in Antwerp, but from a young age, the art of cooking has captivated me. The thrill of creating something from scratch, the alchemy of flavors, and the joy of sharing a meal with others have always ignited a passion within me that surpasses the allure of a legal career. While I dedicated countless hours to studying law and preparing for exams, my heart often wandered to the bustling kitchens of restaurants, where creativity and passion intertwine.
Throughout my law studies, I sought to balance my academic pursuits with my culinary dreams. I worked in various restaurants, each experience deepened my love for cooking and reinforced my belief that this was where I truly belonged. My culinary journey took me beyond borders, leading me to work in restaurants in Japan and Italy, where I learned to appreciate the rich traditions and techniques that define their cuisines. These experiences not only honed my skills but also enriched my understanding of culture and creativity.
In the end, I believe that pursuing one’s passion is the most fulfilling journey of all. I am ready to embrace the future as a passionate cook ready to create, innovate, and share my love for food with the world."
